Marine biologist swaps the lab for practical pursuits.

The name ‘EcoKnight’ suggests a gutsy warrior in shiny armour, ever-ready to draw his sword and duel with those who pollute the environment.

However, Yasmin Rasyid, the founder and president of the non-profit organisation, is not intimidating at all. The long-haired, soft-spoken lady believes in organising outreach programmes to advance green causes.

The Marine Biology graduate from Duke University in the United States said the years spent studying abroad set her on the path for what she does now.
