DiGi currently running “Love to Save” campaign has drawn out kind Malaysians who rushed to support their favourite charities since the online campaign began early this month.
In just three weeks, over RM91,000 has been raised, with more coming in.
“We wanted to give every one, whether they are DiGi customers or not an opportunity to make a difference with a simple click of the mouse,” said DiGi consumer marketing head Dushyan Vaithiyanathan.
“So, we started this campaign whereby DiGi pledges RM5 every time a registered participant pledges online to their charity of choice.
“DiGi targets to pledge RM150,000 by the end of June and we are calling all Malaysians to take this opportunity to contribute towards a worthy cause at no cost to them. Help us help them.”
To date, more than 13,000 people have registered with over 450 personal groups created to support a particular charity from the 14 bodies listed.
The fund-raising campaign runs until June 30 and looks to benefit 14 charitable organisations in the Nature, Social and Health categories.
To support a cause, participants just need to register themselves at www.lovetosave.com.my and then choose a charity from the list provided.
DiGi will pledge RM5 to the charity chosen with each click by a registered participant. They can either support a particular charity as an individual or by creating a group. Each registered user is only allowed to vote for one charity.
The benefiting charities are:
