Despite restoration efforts over the years, pollution persisted until MCO took effect.
One silver lining since the movement control order (MCO) came into effect has been the improved condition of rivers and waterways in the Klang Valley – particularly Sungai Gombak and Sungai Klang.
As human activities and movement outdoors decrease, there are increasing numbers of examples of improvements in the surrounding environment. One of these beneficiaries is waterways – where rivers, estuaries and seas have become clearer and cleaner.
