Responsibilities:
- Responsible to undertake administration and accounting tasks.
- Prepare subnational component reporting.
- Facilitate procurement for project.
- Prepare expense claim.
- Manage project budgets, cash flow, and financial planning in accordance with approved budgets and donor requirements.
- Maintain full sets of project accounts, including accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliation, and general ledger.
- Support site based activities as needed.

Job Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Accounting or Finance.
- Degree /Professional qualification is an added advantage.
- Experience managing donor-funded projects/NGO preferred.
- Experience in budgeting, grant management and financial reporting.
- Experience in computer use- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Working experience of 3-5 years (i.e. administration, finance, procurement, etc.)

Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement and manage project activities at site level.
- Engagement stakeholders at site level to support project activities implementation, through FPIC processes.
- Undertake project activities such as meetings, studies, awareness programmes, networking and information exchange.
- Communicate and working with partner agencies at local level (local government, private sector, Civil Society Organisations, and indigenous people and local community groups).

Assistant Finance & Administration Manager
Responsibilities:
The Assistant Finance & Administration Manager is responsible for the overall financial management and administration of GEC. The role ensures strong financial governance, regulatory compliance, efficient administrative systems and effective organisational support to programmes and partners. The position will understudy the current GEC F&A Manager and will take over accordingly.
1. Financial Management
- Maintain and oversee the full set of accounts for GEC.
- Manage project and programme financial reporting.
- Ensure sound cash flow, investment, and fund management.
- Conduct internal financial reviews and verification.
- Coordinate and oversee organisational and project audits.
- Supervise, mentor, and build capacity of finance staff.

Programme Officer
Responsibilities:
To lead the implementation of GEC projects focused on the community-based management of mangrove and coastal ecosystems in Johor, Perak, Selangor, and other parts of Peninsular Malaysia. This includes overseeing mangrove conservation and restoration, hydrology management, and the prevention of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Additionally, the officer will lead the development of sustainable livelihood programmes based on mangrove forest resources for local community groups.
Specific duties include:
- Provide technical support on best practices in mangrove management and restoration, as well as impact evaluation techniques;
- Implement ongoing projects on community-based management of mangrove conservation and restoration;
- Manage and coordinate mangrove-based product development projects linked to sustainable livelihoods;
- Evaluate and resolve technical feasibility, design optimisation, and production issues, ensuring labeling and marketing/promotional literatures / materials match product specifications;
- Research and monitor the existing client base and industry developments, identifying potential new product opportunities;
- Collaborate with other organisations to establish design, technology, product development, and vendor strategies;
- Develop new projects and activities in partnership with local government, community groups, the private sector, and other NGOs;
- Manage and guide a team of programme officers, support capacity building, knowledge sharing, and resource management to ensure the team supports GEC’s current and future programmes/initiatives;

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (product development, mangrove/coastal conservation biology, environmental science, social science, natural resource management, climate change, or programme management).
- Minimum 3-4 years of relevant working experience in community-based product development, natural resource management, or environmental education/outreach programme coordination.
- Strong people management and leadership skills, with a proven ability to mentor and motivate others.
