Biodiversity Data Collection in Klias Forest Reserve and Binsuluk Forest Reserve (Restoration Area) in Beaufort, Sabah

The project mainly to support baseline data collection in Binsulok Forest Reserve and Klias Forest Reserve with utilising 8 units of camera trap that will be installed in random manners.

Aim/Objectives: Updating data on wildlife biodiversity in forest restoration areas and it surrounding relatively for Binsulok and Klias Forest Reserve.

Key Activities: 

    • Setting up 8 units of camera trap within Binsulok and Klias Forest Reserve.
    • Analysis and compilation of baseline data of wildlife biodiversity

Key Outcomes:

    • Hired one community helper for biodiversity monitoring activities.
    • Collect data on the presence of wildlife through camera trap images for future agencies management
