Mangrove Planting in Kampung Dato Hormat in partnership with UPS Foundation

Launched in October 2017, the project aims to plant and maintain a total of 3,800 mangrove trees in degraded site in Kampung Dato Hormat with  local community participation.

Aim/objective:

  • Planting and maintenance of 3,800 trees in 2 ha the degraded mangrove sites with the participation of local communities in Kg. Dato Hormat, Sabak Bernam;
  • Demonstrate the important role of UPS Malaysia and local community involvement in mangrove rehabilitation and protection programme;and
  • Demonstrate the importance of local community participation in enhances mangrove education, awareness and conservation programme locally.
